Henry & Helena

Henry and Helena are lifelong residents of Sarasota with extensive community ties who passionately believe that God’s big plan for their future is greater than anything in their past. The Evergreen Church is a fulfillment of the inescapable call to plant a life-giving church in their hometown.

A knowledge and love of the Scriptures were an integral part of their Christian upbringing, but they are keenly aware that faith must transcend wishful thinking or weekend experiences.

Henry and Helena desire to reach those disillusioned with “church as usual” by giving them an inclusive space to grow in Christ and flourish in community.

They believe the power and purpose of the early church should be recovered and reintroduced to a new generation.

Henry and Helena have been partners in ministry and life since 2007. They enjoy personal fitness, good movies, and great dining, but their passion is time with their children, Hovan and Hadara.
